Edison, NJ-based Croda, Inc. launched Crodabond CSA, which is specifically engineered to seal hair cuticles that have been damaged from coloring, bleaching, perming or thermal straightening. An oligo ester derived from sebacic acid and hydrogenated castor oil, Crodabond CSA adheres to the lifted cuticles, cementing them together and smoothing the hair fiber.
Croda also introduced Cromapure GDE, its first commercialized, synthetic emollient. It is mild enough to be used in leave-on products, especially for sensitive skin or where abrasion is involved in the skin treatment process such as facial scrubs or micro-dermabrasion.
